Upon entering this golden and glimmering place, you might think they've worn themselves out with the interior decorations - but wait until you taste the food. The food is excellent. We couldn't eat this richly every day, but when sitting in a gilded banquet - it's only reasonable to dine like royalty. Be sure to include dessert and do enlist the advice of the sommelier who is knowledgeable, friendly and offers a wonderfully adventurous selection of wines at every price range. Visit the loo on the ground floor so you can admire their small collection of Faberge eggs.

Above the Financial District and encroaching on shrinking Little Italy and the Lower East Side is New York City’s expanding Chinatown--rapidly increasing in both size and population. Chinatown is a wonderful place to meander about. Everyone in your group will notice different things. On a recent visit with my family, my husband noticed that the streets bend, and the buildings bend with them. My older daughter noticed fish and dehydrated things in markets that she wanted to take home and examine under her microscope.
